I think that it is a great country! Has many wonderful places to see, and great food, people, great traditions. I liked to see that everyone are walking. It is a really LIVELY city, everyone are outside, enjoying the weather.. and I just love it. It has changed since I lived there, and there are repairs going on to make the city more beautiful and cleaner. Anyway, in other words, it is a WONDERFUL AND GORGEOUS COUNTRY!! defintly a great place to visit! =)

I think it's great! The first time I visited was in 1990 and people had to struggle a lot (some do still now,unfortunately). But the warmest welcomes and invitations to eat (they shared, at least those day's) their last reserves with us "Westeners". Unforgetable!
I drink a glass or two,lol of Vodka to the most kind society I've met!
i like the country but i think putin is a bit... you know... scary.
It's an amazing place full of culture. I'm part Russian and quite proud!

Interesting indeed. Language is a problem for the independent traveler. I did a one month guided tour in 1993 and was most impressed by the culture.
