Travel Info Why the h*** all ballerinas are from Russia. no doubt that they are talented but why russiaaaa I'm just jealous :) Travel Tips during the 19th century Russia created a great tradition of the classical ballet as a part of amazing cultural development (europeanization) my country came through in 18-20 centuries. it happened to be one of the best (maybe the best) in the world. fortunately, it had been preserved after the Russian revolution. the communist government ever supported this. partly because it appealed to the tastes of the Bolshevik elite (as opposed to classical music, which was hated because was supposed to be "too intellectual and bourgeois"), partly because it provided international image of successful social and cultural life under the Communist rule. also Russia is pretty big country, it helps to find talented people of all kinds. Others a lot of ppl from Russia are very talented, and of course a lot of them are coming to the us , it's probably b/c we don't have as talented ppl as Russia dose. It's probably, because some time ago, when i was a kid too, the dream of girls was to be a ballerina and for guys cosmonaut. Russians got the best ballet dancers and first launched a spaceship with a human being. There is no reason to be jealous about that, you guys have something else to be proud of i am Russian Because we're closer to Europe. Also because in the 1800s Russian aristocrats were obsessed with everything French, so ballet, being French, became very popular. Because russian ballet school is very high and world famous,all people all over the world study at them.....like at figur skating. |
