Um, do you mean the siege of Leningrad? If you do, then it's a siege that lasted approximately 2.5 years. Leningrad (modern day St.Petersburg) was surrounded by Germans. Supplies were scarce and people were forced to eat unthinkable things. Many died of starvation. The siege was lifted in 1944. The death toll was 1.5 million people.
