Every 9 May, Russia celebrates the victory over Nazi Germany, while remembering those who fell in order to achieve it. 9 May was chosen, since the day before in 1945, the Germans surrendered to the Soviet Union and her Allies. 9 May was when the peace took effect. A military parade is usually held in Moscow to celebrate the day.

because russia won the war over the nazis okay....but nowadays paradoxically theres a lot neo-nazi gangs in cities such as petersburg and moscow .....in some cities you cant even walk on the street if you dont know russian and are not white as a russian ....if you are not a russian do never go there , but if you want problens with skinstupidheads just go ahead ....I went there to travel 1 month ago.....and my god I will never go back to russia .....go bless canada thats the country....someone please tell me if Im wrong....
we celebrated 62nd anniversary of Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, when we won Gitlers army! Our war is not known as WW2, it's was part of it!
