What is the traditional way to drink vodka in Russia? |

Normally, we don't drink vodka even for supper, we drink it only weekend evenings and holidays, even not every time. Almost nobody drinks alone. We always do it with a company of friends. The most common way to drink vodka is just to drink vodka, without mixing it with nothing. With small portions, having a snack after each of them. Snacks may vary, it may be e.g. smoked sausage, salted cucumber, sandwiches of various kinds, salads, etc... Last years, mixing vodka with non alcoholic drinks becomes more popular, though still quite rare. Total amount of vodka being drunk by one person differs greatly. Some vodka-lovers may drink up 1.5 liters in one evening, while normal guys like me don't usually drink more than ~150 ml. As for me the best way to drink vodka has three main things: very nice company, very cold vodka plenty of good food and pickles! Usually it is in the evening or at least started lunch and finishing at night, but never in the morning when i used to go out and party on Saturday nights, i would usually get blasted with my girlfriends... vodka + a slice of lemon and you're good to go :P i'm russian lol..ASK SIBERIANS..THEY ARE REALY VODKALOVERS...my uncle gone away from Siberia because they drink VODKA like water or tea.....so in south -west Russia we prefer drink vines...from cossacks to abkhazians.....
