The last time I checked they were not allowing Americans to enter Russia and the embassy was asking all Americans who could to leave. That has been a couple of months ago, but always be sure and check the security before making plans. be careful of FSB Moscow is best place for travel. Big Theater,Red Square,Museums,Kremlin........
