How do I dress like a local Russian?

Travel Info
I will be going to Russia/Ukraine soon, and I don't want to look like a typical American tourist. Is there a place online perhaps, where I can buy some clothes to help me blend in? Maybe someone could give me some guidelines on the do's and don'ts of dressing. Anything that will help de-Americanize me. Thanks

russian men wear adidas track suit pieces, designer sunglasses, leather jackets, dress shoes!!, & bling bling cross. rings are good, too. you can start with a pinkie ring & invest in more later if you wanna complete your russian look.

(notice how the one on the left is dressed for the club even in mid afternoon at the park...super russian)

russian women wear too tight designer jeans, sunglasses, dressy shoes. they never match everything perfectly. like, russians will think 2 different shades of pink could look good together..an american would be like wtf

don't carry a fanny pack or wear anything resembling sweatpants/shirts unless it is designer or adidas & try not to wear sneakers (if you must make sure they are designer & stylish not new balance or something like that). and don't smile too much. russian people are more reserved than americans (but also way less fake!)

we, Russians like dressing up even going to the grossery store, girls wear make-up and high heels. So if you want to de-Americanize - loose the T-shirts and jeans style, dress up!
Have a great time.
Not to worry. Eastern European teenagers and young adults like to follow the latest fashion trends and wear designer clothes. The folks you'll see and meet in Russia and the Ukraine won't all be wearing "traditional peasant garb" or look like milk maids from the last century. They'll be dressed in clothes similar to what you'd see in the USA or Europe.

Pack some conservative clothes that aren't too flashy or bizarre, and maybe a few special outfits as well. Once you get there, do a little shopping. A nice scarf or sweater bought there will help you blend in, and be a lasting souvenir.

If you are a guy you might want to dress like a metrosexual. Pick up local fashion magazine and take a look at what the models are wearing, that鈥檚 what you will have to look like to blend in.
If you are a girl then you will have to wear makeup, high hills shoes, short skirts, tight jeans, and have your hair done. And that鈥檚 even if you are going out to throw out the garbage.
My best advice for you is to dress like you like to dress and be comfortable. You are not going to blend in no matter how much you try because you look and walk differently. Russians have a particular expression on their face and a certain way of walking that is different from other cultures. A Russian can tell a Russian apart from miles away, even if they are wearing jeans and t-shirts.
Just be your self, be respectful and don鈥檛 act like you are above the local people, that will de-Americanize you enough.

Dont be fat and nobody will not think, that you are american...:-)....
Dress like an European man, that is somewhat metrosexual and classy. In any case, unless you look very sloppy and disheveled, there should be no problem with blending in...Besides, there are literally not a lot of people who care about others in Russia.
