Travel Info What are some points of interest in Russia? Travel Tips The town of Zagorsk Others Apart from, Moscow... St. Petersburg. Full of history and landmarks, its breath-taking. It was the former capital of Russia before the revolution. ME!!!I AM VERY INTERESTING....very ancient guy...think that we would have good futury..where every men will have job,every will get salary,every will be free...but it looks like communism and utopis...lol...:-)... Moscow and St Petersburg are obvious ones (especially St Petersburg you can spends over a week there and not run out of things to see and do during summer when everything is open). The rest depends on your interests. If you are interested in adventure travel, going to places like Altai or Tuva, Kamchatka, Trail of Bones from Yakutia to Magadan would be of interest. If historical travel is your thing then apart from Moscow and St Petersburg, you could go to places like Brest Fortress, Smolensk, Murmansk, Tula, Sevastopol, Kerch, Novorossiyak, Stallingrad, Lenins Exile, the golden ring cities, old merchant cities, Decembrists, Romanov Family. If Eco tourism is your thing then the Great Baikal Trail is a must. If Cultural/Ethnic travel is your thing, then Kazan, Ulan Ude, Altai republic, Tuva republic, Finnic Karelians in Northwest Russia.
