Do you mean the country Russia? If so, I haven't been but the economy & standards of living are tons better than they were 9-10 years ago.

The economy of Russia is quite improved and looks to remain strong. Russia has blocked the gas pipelines from going under the Caspian Sea and will have a monopoly on all energy shipments out of central asia.

The Russian people are the same as they were before, I think they are very interesting. I really want to go there someday.
