Have you had a Russian Visa application Rejected? |
Travel Info Just wondering if any US citizens have had a Russian Visa rejected and for what reasons. Especially if you've been rejected because of a yes answer in item # 36. Travel Tips my fiance applied for a Russian visa twice (one of which was just a day before the flight) and he always got it - never had a single problem with getting a Russian tourist visa in a Consulate in San Francisco Others Thank you all for your answers. Other than missing or incorrect paperwork, I have never seen anyone actually be rejected at the embassy. It made me wonder, but i'm sure they know what they're doing. #36 - Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any offence? - Have you ever been sick with a communicable disease of risk for the public or suffered a dangerous physical or mental disorder? - Have you ever abused drugs or been a drug-addict? - Have you ever been refused a Russian visa? - Has your Russian visa ever been canceled? - Have you ever tried to obtain or assisted others to obtain a Russian visa or enter Russia by providing misleading or false information? - Have you ever overstayed your Russian visa or stayed unlawfully in Russia? - Have you ever been deported from Russia? US visa has even more stupid questions. Guess what will happen if you answer "Yes"? You will be automatically rejected in US consulate due to the same reasons. One possibility, though not likely is if you test positive for HIV. Multi-entry business visas (1 year) require you to have a HIV screening and a valid insurance statement from your healthcare provider. This isn't the case for 90 day visas. My grandparents applied for the visas many times, but were rejected because they were accused of overstaying on their last trip. never |
