Whats the best time to travel to russia? |
Travel Info i was thinking about taking a train trip from moscow to st. petersburg. Travel Tips summer and early fall are good for that - it's warm and the train does not need heating. later in the fall it takes them time to start using the heating and it gets really cold in the compartments and later in winter when they do use the heating it gets really suffocating. Others When its not cold over there I'd go in the spring, summer, or early fall. Remember, Hitler had a hard time trying to go to Russia in the winter! Spring time is the best - the cold is leaving, and all of the people are so glad to be out in light clothes again. It really is the happiest time to be there. i think when there are in St.Petersburg are white nights, it's something.... good luck russian me I usually go when tickets are cheap. haha (which is when it gets cold, so do not attempt unless you're Russian :)). Seriously, those few times that I went back were usually in mid-summer. Went back to Moscow in November once and no, you do NOT want to repeat my brave trip. Good luck and have fun in Russia! |
