Anyone know how long it would take to get to St. Petersburg, Russia, from Pennyslvania, America? on a plane? |
Travel Info how many hours? anyone have an estimate? Travel Tips No direct flights to St. P from the US, which surprises me. Unless you have a private jet, the quickest way is from JFK via Helsinki on Finnair, which takes 10 hours from liftoff in NYC till touchdown in St. P. Add on your transit time to NYC -- the 1 1/2 hour ride from Allentown or the 8 hour ride from Slippery Rock -- plus two hours advance arrival time (and any more breathing room you would want to add if heavy traffic is likely) and you will have your answer. Others Search for flights in Expedia, Travelocity etc and they give you the exact flight duration, it will be roughly 10 hours flying time, But you will probably need to transit somewhere. Not exactly sure how far it is to Russia, but from MS to the UK was 9 hours and then from there to Malaga, Spain was another 2. I was add another 3 or so hours, just guessing to that. I also went to Rome from Norfolk, VA. From JFK to Rome it was about 7 hours. Hope these two give you a good estimate. It takes a long time but the airlines do give you a lot of stuff to do to pass the time. They have like 7 movies for you to watch, several games, and a lot of music channels.. I would suggest that you bring books, crossword puzzles, and etc to help pass the time as well. It depends on layover time between flights (there is no direct flight). Pure flight time will be about 10-11 hours (PHL-FRA-LED on Lufthansa can be done in 11 hours 40 minutes including one hour layover in Frankfurt) around 10 hours I should think 12 hrs it will be great http://www.nemtyrev.narod.ru |
