Russia Airport/Travelling Advice?

Hi,

I am travelling to thailand next month and have a connecting flight from the UK in Moscow. However I arrive in Moscow at 5.40am and my departing flight is not untill 10pm. I believe I can get a visa for 拢45 just for one day but would it be worth it as I have heard that the Moscow SVO airport is hours away from Moscow centre? Any advice

Sheremetievo airport is actually not so far from the centre, but it is so because of the constant traffic and jams. If you are arriving so early, you most probably would escape the jams in the morning hours, but make sure to get back to the airport in time.
I advice you to see the Moscow city, you can have a look and make soem plans to come back later, who knows. There are many beautiful and famouse places out here. Many people really enjoy their staying in Russia and come back here again and again.

But that is true, if you really want to have a look, so plan your time properly, search for the information about the capital and check out what you will be able to see in Moscow.

Oh, yeah.. I would do it. Plenty to see in a day! Best if you can pre-arrange a tour.
Well you should choose an airport that is closer that way you wont be in a rush.
