But as Russia is such a big country, There are no complete nationwide Internet telephone book which covers Russia
There are some services that are available that will verify the address . There is a fee for this but they deliver a small gift to the person you are writing to. If the person is real they will be very grateful to you for the gift if the address is not real they will contact you and let you know. Their email address is

If you met this person on Yahoo or Match or any of those sites the person probably not real. Because those sites require a credit card to join and send letters to people. Very few people in Russia use credit cards. Cash (rubbles) is the primary method of payment. If you met her through a Russia dating site chances are she is real.
There are several ways of detecting scams and I have a scam guide I do not mind sharing. It is am e book. But remember one thing DO NOT send her money to come here to met you because no matter what she says she can not come here until you meet her in her country first.
