What is the weather like in Moscow in January?

Travel Info
Cold obviously, but is everything snow covered? I am trying to decide on suitable footwear and would like to know what to expect. I am travelling on 26th Jan.

Travel Tips
No-one has really answered your question, have they? You already know it will be cold.

There will be plenty of snow but unless you are going off the beaten track it won't cause a problem. In the city centre, the snow is cleared and any that isn't, is compacted into the pavement by people walking on it.

A sturdy pair of boots and thick socks will suffice. Have a good time! Source(s): Live in Russia

why don't you look from google or yahoo?
Cold, mostly freezing at night. You may get plus tempreture during the day. Use the underground railway to get about and shop at GUM, which is also underground!
