What is a good time of year to visit Moscow, Russia?

Travel Info
So, me and my family (mom, maybe dad) want to go to Russia to visit for a few weeks. We want a time where the weather won't bee to hot (which I don't think is a problem), and when there won't be a crazy amount of people traveling. Also, if only me and my mom are going, is it a good idea to bring another person, like my dad, or someone who's been to Russia, or a Russian person we know?

Travel Tips
If you like snow you should try Janyary , February , Disember.
If you like hot weter try June July August
If you like to collect flowers and mashrums try March ,April ,May
And the last but not list if you like rain try September, October. November is kind of like winter)).
But dont go in summer to Mascow too hot. Source(s): I lived close to russia in Kazakhstan

Other Travel Tips
Dyevushka, if dats ur real name, ive never been to russia before, but the temperature can get to about -30C in the winter and about +25C in the summer, as long as your not visiting in the dead of winter you should be ok, and most tourists probably come in the summer, you probably want a bit of snow there to give it a russian feel, so go in Autumn or maybe spring, have fun in Russia
Try spring. It won't be absolutely freezing but it certainly won't be hot. It's never really touristy in Moscow, although mid-summer in Red Square has its fair share of tourists but it's never like Prague for example.

The only bad time to visit European Russia is November. There's not much snow but it's really grey. It's a good idea going with someone who knows Russia because they can take you beyond the tourist haunts, but from a safety perspective it's not necessary. I've travelled all over Russia, alone and with people and have never had any problems. Also, try to get to Petersburg. It's just my opinion but I think it's a vastly better city than Moscow. Have a good time!!
I live in Russia
i was born in moscow and when i go i visit in the summer and it is insanelly hot! if you can speak russian you dont have to much of a problem but you should bring a person for safety purposes if you are traveling through the city at night. if you cant speak russian, stay in tourist locations because most of the shop owners can speak some russian. make sure to bargain in the tents but it wont get you to far in the nicer ones that are in buildings. i reccomend riding the buses and metros because it is dangerous and hard to drive a car in the city but the buses get really crowded and the people are kind of smelly. have a good time!!! 袛械胁褍褕泻邪,
you have such a russian name, haven't you been to Russia? I think the best time to visit Russia is winter cause this is the real Russia. However, this winter we have about +5 and there is no snow. Besides it depends on the place where you live. Certainly, summer is the worst time for Moscow. Spring and fall are very dirty there is a lot of mess at streets. So if you dont want to see snow around you, then you better go in september or may.

I seem it is always better to have a native in a foreign country, a local is much better than a guide.
