Travel Info Is russia a nice place to visit like moscow or st. petersburg? Travel Tips Moscow is great, with all the cathedrals, St. Basil's in particular, and the Kremlin. But St. Petersburg is way better. I loved it there. I was there mid-summer, and the weather was fantastic. The old tsar-era palaces are fabulous to visit. You can take a boat ride on the river and see lots of the city that way. The Hermitage (the Winter Palace) is a wonderful museum with artwork by everyone from Monet to Picasso to Rembrant. I didn't get to see much of it, but there is enough there that if you looked at everything for one minute, w/o stopping to eat and sleep, it would take you 9 years to see everything. Peterhof, the Summer Palace is right on the bay of Finland, and it has magnificent gardens and fountains. I didn't even make it inside the palace, I was so enchanted by the outside. St. Petersburg also has some really beautiful cathedral too, like the Palace of Resurrection. Russia is a beautiful country to visit and if you get the chance to go, I highly recommend it. Other Travel Tips A friend of mine went to St. Petersburg last year and had a wonderful time. The pictures were beautiful. of course! There are a lot of beautiful places in both cities including historical too! good luck russian me Russia is worth to see. I'd recommend you to go to St.Petersburg and Moscow as well as to other cities, coz there is an opinion that Moscow is not as the rest of Russian, If you really wanna see real Russia, go to small towns...at least around Moscow or St.Petersburg.
