What is the driving age in Russia? |
Travel Info I was just wondering, because my friend told me he wanted to go to Russia because the driving age is 12. I'm not one to believe everything I hear, but I'm not sure about this one. Anyone know? Travel Tips Not for a car. For a car it's 18, for a motorcycle it's 16, for a motorbike ("moped") it's still 14 (officially 16, but can be reduced by two years by local authorities). Tell your friend that in the U.S. even if you can't drive, you can fly at 12 (with a pilot's license, of course). Now, here is a catch, that probably your friend had heard about. There exist cars so small that technically they are not considered cars, but rather "motorized wheel-chairs" and they don't require a driver's license. Another car which I also heard rumors about special rules for, is "Oka", but I could not find a confirmation, so I think it's just rumors. Others it is all realitive around the $$$$ The driving age in Russia is 18. 18 years in age 12 you can sit in the front but to drive you have to be at list 18 years old you can get your driving license at the age of 16 but drive only from the age of 18 You can get driving license at 18, and yes 12 years is the age when you can sit in front, before that only back seat in special child chair and buckled up! good luck |
