Flying from moscow, to S.F. do airlines fly via frankfurt or directly to S.F.? |
Travel Info Flying from moscow, to S.F. do airlines fly via frankfurt or directly to S.F.? Travel Tips There are no direct flights. With Air France you will have to connect in Paris. With Delta, you connect in NY. With British, you connect in London With Lufthansa, you connect in Frankfurt Others Suggestion: Fly KLM - staight flight dayly form S.F. to Amsterdam. From there you can continue using KLM onwards to Moscow. Stopovers in Amsterdam are far nicer as you can get in the train (stops below the airport) and you are in the centre of the city approx 20 minutes later. For less than 5 euro's there and back. Might be a nice break in between two flights! Also when you are on Schiphol airport you can watch some real rembrandts for free. There is a free museum in the transfer area. Aeroflot does fly directly from Moscow to Los Angeles, then you are a one-hour flight or 6 hour car ride from San Francisco. If you take that route you also have a choice of 3 different airports in the SF area from LA, in case your destination is closer to Oakland or San Jose than SF itself. I imagine there are a hundred flights a day from LAX to these airports. Personal Experience Try Aeroflot. During certain times of the year they have non-stop flights. Otherwise, I think they connect in Ireland or New York. If you want to fly through frankfurt, fly Lufthansa. It is one of the best airlines I've ever flown (British Airways being one of the best as well). Good Luck. |
