Travel Info Is there any reason to favor Moscow over St. Petersburg as a place to stay and/or study? Travel Tips Personally, I like St. Petersburg better. It's much nicer, I am not saying that Moscow isn't nice, but there are much more places to look at then in Moscow. About studying. Well, may be Moscow is better to study in, because all the life is concentrated in Moscow, but if you need calmer and more artistic place to study at, it's definitely St. Petersburg. Others no St. Petersburg is better then M Not really. They are both beautiful, and full of things to do. I guess the only thing different, is that Moscow is the capital. I have been to Moscow, and I thought it was great. 鈺? No. The odds are actually in St. Pete's favour, because it is cheaper to stay there. The rent is a lot lower and appartments are easier to find. Communting from the cheap flats in the outskirts to uni takes less time too. Other way around. St Petersburg is smaller (about 4 million people compared to 10 million for Moscow), cheaper, more friendly to outsiders, easier to get around and more cultured.
