How is Russia's health care? |
Travel Info What is it's: Quality: Availability: Cost: I researched that its without charge, but I just want to make sure. Travel Tips Well, yeah officially all municipal hospitals are free, but there are also many private clinics and hospitals and they are much better and I would rather go to private, it's more safe for me Others Quality: Depends on the city, if you're looking at a large city, then it's pretty dgood, it's becoming better and better. Private clinics are good too. Availability: In a Medium/Big city, without a problem. Cost: Much Much cheaper then in the US (It's better quality then in the US but cheaper) Quality: Better doctors but worst equipment than in US. Availability: anytime. Cost: Much less than in US. Whole medical examination will cost you 100$ in the best PRIVATE hospital. Government hospitals are free. Russian. Nalya S gave a very good and accurate answer. I have to agree with everything that she said. there is a health insurance policy system which a citizen either receives as a benefit or has to pay for it. Emergency services are free for everybody. having said that it is worth to say that in many circumstances these service may not be accessible on these terms and conditions. If you call an ambulance then you will have to persuade them that you are dying, they may still not make it because the ambulance may break down on the way, and may ask you t pay a fare more than a taxi driver would do. If you need to be let in a hospital then you are in a real trouble. You will have to pay huge sums to claim a bed and to receive a care during your stay you or your loved ones will have to bribe all the staff from the doctor to the last nurse or you will not get even a smile. |
