When does the Russian football season run? Will I be able to see a match in August? |
Travel Info I am visiting Russia from 27th July for 12 days, are there matches played at this time. If so who would you recommend seeing in Moscow/St Petersburg? Travel Tips The Russian League runs from March to November. The best sides to see would be Dinamo, Spartak, Torpedo, Lokomotiv, CSKA (all Moscow) or Zenit St Petersburg. On the 28th July Lokomotiv play Dinamo On the 4th August Dinamo play Zenit There are other games but these are the 2 biggest being played whilst you are out there. Have fun! In St.Petersburgh the main team is Zenit and in Moscow at least five teams CSKA,Spartak,Dynamo,Lokomotiv and i think FC Moscow. You can always check in Moscow Times an English language newspaper. |
