Can a russian women get a tourist visa if she has family in the U.S.A. ? |
Travel Info Can a russian women get a tourist visa if she has family in the U.S.A. ? Travel Tips I am a Russian and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I am a permanent resident of the USA (green card). My 20 years old daughter was denied a tourist visa twice because US Embassy said she would stay in the US in granted entry. We did not see each other for about 6 years. Immigration laws of the US are really weird, but that is how things are kept in order... especially after 9/11. Others it depends on the status of the relatives who are in the US now. If they are permanent US residents now and have an American in the Family (i.e. if one of the relatives is married to an American) - she might get lucky and get the B1 visa. But she'll also (just like in any case of applying for a visa) have to prove she is not planning to stay in the US - show the proof of a good job (or being enrolled in school in Russia), having good income and a banking account, etc. (check the consulate website - it's all there). It's easier if you father or mother is now a permanent US resident - you can get the visa and you are even allowed to permanently move to the US if you chose. It depends on Americam Embasy..... If she is good person it`s not problem http://www.nemtyrev.narod.ru |
