I have a question about lake Tahoe. Can you help me? |
Travel Info Ok in June i am going to Lake Tahoe with my Mentor, What are some good things to do while i am there? Travel Tips Well if you enjoy gambling there's plenty of it in Tahoe and I'm sure you'll want to hang out at the Lake, and then if you have time go into Virginia City and check out all the old memorabilia and do some shopping. I also noticed that there were a couple of comments about going to see the Ponderosa, well you won't be able to do that, because it is closed down, its no longer there. They closed it about a year ago. You can also visit the Capitol of Nevada and drive about 1/2 hour into Carson City and take a tour of the Capitol and the State Museum. Others try google.com you can ride on a glass-bottomed boat, you can check out the ponderosa ranch from gunsmoke, on the NV side you can gamble.... Ya know? I've lived in the area 22 years, and all I've ever done at Tahoe summer-wise is fish... The fishing's great, BTW The Ponderosa is from Bonanza and is near north shore Drive around the entire lake! It's worth it! Get over to Carson City and Virginia City. V.C. is still an old time out of the west town. The paddle boat trip is great See Emrald Bay - you can get there by boat or hike down into it. Fallen Leaf Lake is a pretty stop. Good gambling and shows Nice Golf courses Take the Tram to the top of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort Have a great time! |
