I'm going to be in Northern California for the month of May. What should I definitely see and do? |
Travel Info I'm also interested in the best driving routes to your suggestions. Travel Tips Sonoma,Napa, and Mendocino counties. Wineries, take your pick. Take a mud bath in Calistoga. Check out the quaint village of Mendocino, also any beach on the Sonoma/Mendocino coast. Of course the Redwoods. I love Northern Cal. Here's a link to the mud baths; http://www.goldenhaven.com Have Fun and rent a convertible. You may want to check out Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, and Reno just across the state line in Nevada. Others Golden Gate Bridge. Haight and Ashbury. China Town. Fisherman's Wharf. Come to Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. Drive down Highway 1 along the ocean. red wood forest See the winery's. Take a train trip from San Fran to Yosemite.. Muir! Bring a jacket. If you can get to the redwoods, do it. Standing next to a 500 yr old tree that is 200 feet tall is impressive. Especially when you realize that's a young one. san francisco, berkeley, I hear Napa is good (never have been though). Go to a Giants or A's game, take a drive to half moon bay.
