Travel Info What can we do for a "family day" in Sacramento, CA? 3 Teens + Mom Dad? Travel Tips You can have a great day with your family in Sacramento! I recommend going to Old Sac, visiting the capital, viewing the memorial wall, eating, and my personal favorite: Arden Fair Mall. There's quite a few things to do. I always love doing that. You can ride a Ferry on the river. Ther are also some cute cafes and restruants to eat at. Old Town is a good place to go for food. The railroad museum is pretty neat if you like trains and history. I know you can take a riverboat out of Old Town too. There is a mall near Old Town and you can also walk down to the capitol. Downtown Sacramento is your best bet. You have the State Capital and then not too far from there Old Sacramento where you have all kinda of shops and restaurants, The Railroad Museum, Discovery Museum and then the River where you can take a Ferry or go check out the boats. Although this weekend it was really nasty the weather is starting to clear up. Unfortunately, there isn't a great deal to do in Sacramento. As a previous thread expressed, Downtown Sacramento is probably your best bet. For Mom & Dad, Sacto is great, but for the teens it can be a little more challenging. go to a kings game!!!!! |
