Redding, ca vs chico, ca?

cant decide which one to move to. i definitly want to move up north.

I definitely recommend Redding over Chico. There are lots of recreational opportunities on nearby Lake Shasta as well as the Sacramento River and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Mt. Shasta is only a couple hours drive to the north and Redding is relatively close to Lassen Volcanic National Park. There are the beautiful "Trinity Alps," Trinity River and historic, scenic town of Weaverville an hour away to the west. And you can reach the Pacific coast at Arcata near Eureka in less than three hours. And Redding even has a world famous bridge, the Sundial Bridge over the Sacramento River. There are biking and walking trails.

It's true it's hot in Redding, but it's hot all over the Sacramento Valley in the summertime, including Chico. I can't see any pluses Chico has over Redding. It's got a bunch of beer-soaked college partyers and Chico State has long had a rep for that, but heck, if that's your thing, you can do that anywhere.

During the summer, Redding, Ca usually hits 110 during the summer, and Chico is a milder college town that is in the lower hundreds during the summer.
Chico, if you're more into having a hip university scene.

Redding if you're more the outdoorsy, scenery loving type.
Don't move to Chico.
If you are going to move to Redding, you may as well keep going into Oregon. Redding is a shithole. There! I said it, now what? It seriously is. It's hot, ugly, desperate.
Chico is full of beer soaked college students but it's pretty, not too hot and is vibrant. I suggest Chico.
I think ALL of the Central Valley towns in CA are ugly, dusty and hot, that's why we moved to Portland, OR a few months ago. We just love it up here !!!!!
