I'm going to Sacramento in May. Are there any nice "hot spots" to go to?? |
Travel Info No 18-21 year-old stuff....I'm 36 and just looking to relax for the night. Travel Tips Lived there for 17 years.....The best place is "Old Sac". It's an old western town that has a lot of shopping and great places to eat. From there you can walk to Downtown Plaza which is a updated shopping center. There is also the Capital Building which has history abundant and beautiful grounds. The Hyatt is a great place to stay, if you haven't made reservations already. You can almost walk every where from there. It across the street from the convention center, where you can take in a "off Broadway" play or a "big name" concert. Have fun, it is a nice place to visit. Others Oh hell yeah. Crush 29 baby. Here's the website. http://crush29.com/ What part of Sac will you be staying at? I can give you some downtown places, Elk grove places and Folsom/El dorado places. You want a "hot spot" but you want to relax? down town sac.The mall. There is a murder mystery show in old town.On the delta king.Great show.Word advice the hotels are really high.So be aware.there is also comedy clubs also.LAUGHS unlimited. Those place are fun and safe. There aren't a whole lot of "hot spots" in Sacramento. Sacramento is a good place if you have a family. If you choose to go to a club or a bar, it's a young scene for ages 21-25. Try the website down below. http://www.sacramentocvb.org/ If you like blues music, the Torch Club on 15th between I & J is the best live venue downtown. Tapa the World at 2115 J St. has good Spanish (not Mexican) cuisine & a nice bar usually with mellow entertainment. Fanny Ann's in Old Sac is a little loud, but fun. It's like a 60s/70s time warp - I think they're still playing the old stuff on the sound system. A little more "upscale" is the historic Delta King paddlewheel steamship, now a hotel with restaurant & lounge. Or the Firehouse lounge & restaurant. Both also in Old Sac. There's lots of other stuff out in the 'burbs, but if I were coming to Sac just for a day or so, I'd stick to downtown & Old Sac. |
