Travel Info relocate up there. I am a nurse and i think finding a job would'nt be too hard to do. but is Paradise really paradise. I see it's not far from the oregon border, and i do love ponds rivers lakes streams the woodsy type atmoshpere. i have lived here in the desert for 21 years, and i look like a prune. my sister is moving from a so cal beach to Paradise,so i am interested in the publics opinion, is it worth the trade off? Travel Tips I have lived in N.California most of my life. Paradise is a nice town located in the foothills above Oroville and Chico. It is a county seat I believe, or a retirement community. Still it is growing. Your about an hour and 15 min from Sacremento. I used to live in Long Beach, and I have been to Palmdale, which is nice. I think N.California will be a nice change from the big city and you will like it wether you are young or old. Shouldnt be to hard to find a nursing job either. Others i lived in Oroville and went to paradise often, did not like it all that well. its kind of remote if you are used to being close to everything. Oregon is a long ways from there. Hi - Lived in Chico, very close to Paradise. Summers are extremely hot three to four month of 100 degree plus weather. Small town feel, housing has gone up in price, and will come down in next couple of years. I suggest visiting in the month of August when bugs are bad and heat is high, then decide. Paradise is a loser town. Only people that can not win end up there. The name comes from the words Pair-of-Dice. Don't believe me look it up. But it can not be much worse than Palmdale. |
