Are there any good beaches in Sacramento? |
Travel Info Yes, I know there's no ocean, but do any of the lakes or rivers have good beaches? Travel Tips Paradise Beach along the American River. Granite Bay at Folsom Lake. Or get an all over tan at Laguna del Sol in Wilton. Others there is good veiws of the ocean not sure about lakes The best I can remember, the river running through Sacramento is the American River. It is a pretty river, fairly wide and peaceful looking. There are signs posted telling people who are not aware....the river kills 10 - 15 people a year ! That peaceful river has an undertow that grabs and won't let go. Forget about the beach scene by the river. Folsom lake has a nice beach area. American river has many places to stop and catch a few rays - but you gotta raft down it to get there. hi use to live in modesto , here one delta river adn modesto resovre , woodlw resore ,and macteca water siles . there is no beaches near by but i could tell you everything is a hour away . i hope it was a great experice anwer this one Your best bet is to go over to Monterey, to be quite honest. It's about 3 hours away and you'll have a great view. If you're not willing to travel that far, then you're pretty much stuck with the rivers and man made lakes. Oh, and then there's always the Delta region in Stockton. That's not really worth your time though. Good luck! =] |
