Travel Info I'm visiting Sacramento with my two kids and I came across something called visionarium. What is it? Is it at all interesting for kids? Also, does anyone know anything about the discovery galley a the crocker art museum? The info in the websites is not very good but since I'm on the bus I don't want to waste my time going somewhere that may not be appealling to my children. Thanks Travel Tips How old are your kids? That makes a huge difference on what they will/ will not like. I've lived in Sacramento all my life (and I teach 4th grade) and have never even heard of the Visionarium, so I'm just guessing it's not that great. I do love the Crocker, but again, it depends on your kids...it's better for older/calmer children. BUT, here are some of my favorite places, all are kid friendly and accesible by bus or lite rail: -Golden State Museum (also known as CA Museum for Women, History, and the Arts)...very kid friendly, lots of hands-on exhibits. It's close to the capitol, too, which kids love and is a great place to have a picnic. www.californiamuseum.org -Railroad Museum in Old Sac ...a real winner!
