What areas should be avoided when looking for a place to live in Sacramento, CA? |
Travel Info I'm considering the following: Yuba City, North Highlands, Davis....are these areas safe, clean, and quiet? My rent range is $900-$1100 per month..... Travel Tips Hi, *Davis is in Yolo County **About 30 mins. (or more in rush hour) from Sacto. **WAY liberal college town, kinda' sleepy, though ... *Yuba city is north of Sacto. **If you plan to commute to Sacto., it's WAY dangerous after about December until about March, because of the thick fog, and the two lane "speedways" between these two towns. Places to avoid in Sacto. *North Highlands **Recent spate of teenage and "20's" gang -related shootings. *Arden/Arcade (gangs/drugs) *Oak Park (gangs/drugs/prostitution) *South Sac (gangs/drugs) *Del Paso Heights (gangs/drugs) *Parts of: **Citrus Hgts. (drugs/thugs) **Roseville (drugs/thugs) *If you REALLY want to see the crime profile of Sacramento County, Check out KCRA TV's website. They have a "CRIMETRACKER" interactive map which pinpoints criminal activity in Sacto.
