Travel Info I need a cheap hotel in Salzburg, very close to the old town. Any suggestions will help. I have looked at all the popular hotel websites and the prices are sky high for December. Travel Tips search for "gasthof salzburg" on yahoo/google rather than hotels.. those are the cheap options you get with better service and hospitality than hotels.... They just added Salzburg to their guide and have lots of recommendations for cheap (or kind of cheap) hotels in Salzburg. better search for someone from austria on some messenger and hack his address and live there by blackmailing him Hello, If you don't mind sleeping at someone's house.....try www.couchsurfing.com or www.hospitalityclub.org you have to register....its free....there you will find nice people who have a place to sleep for travelers.
