What are the best areas in San Antonio to live in? |
Travel Info I might be moving to San Antonio fron Phoenix but I'm not familiar with the areas out there. What are some good areas to look at for buying a house? Which are the areas that I should stay away from? Travel Tips Well after living there for a year and asking my fellow San Antonians which was the nicest part of town, we all agreed it was the northwest. Shavano Park, Alamo Heights, and the Medical Center all seem like nice neighborhoods to live in. According to all my friends, the areas that I should stay away from are the south, east, and west side. Others i lived here all my life and i know what mmost current in my city. good luck in ur search. shavanco park is overpriced and ritsy, alamo height- lots of alternative life styles and older ( cool if u r into that). i live in medical center and i love it well i live in sa. if your looking for a nice area and have some money. 1604 and blanco area of 281 and 1604. 1604 area is becoming very popular. lots of new young families and grandparents heading out that way. if u want to be in middle of everything- try the medical center area. stay away from the south and west side of town if u r afraid of the ghetto. nice people, area not so much!! good luck. let me know how it goes I say on the northeast side of town. Crime is low, the best schools and lots of new neighborhoods being built. Schertz is a nice area..a little out of town but not too far. It's up in the NE part of town. lived there |
