Where should I move? Looking for safe public transit, mild winters, and an inexpensive community college.? |
Travel Info I will be finding a roommate, and attending a community college with a nursing program. I will need a state that doesn't charge too much for community college. If you know of a place that has a nursing program without a long waiting list, and meets my other criteria, please let me know. I am 41, a single mother, currently living near Atlanta. I don't wish to go to Atlanta, as it's not very safe there. I have lived up north, and do not want the cold winters anymore. Please give me your opinions. Travel Tips Move to Oregon. Public transit is plentiful, safe, and inexpensive; the winters are relatively mild (west of the Cascades it hardly ever gets below freezing); and in-state tuition is cheap. The community college I attend in Eugene, OR is one of the top rated ones in the whole US. I'm 44 and going to school part-time for an engineering degree.
