Travel Info Where are dude ranches? Travel Tips There are lots around Bandera, Texas, about 30 minutes from San Antonio. I would recommend Twin Elm, Mayan Ranch or Lightning Ranch. All of them have been around for years, and Twin Elm and Lightning have rodeos throughout the summer months. Bandera is known as the "Cowboy Capital of the World" : it's worth checking out.
