Does anyone Know how to get cheap airfare? I? |
Travel Info Seems kinda crazy to have to pay almost 600 dollars to sit in coach for 3 hours. Travel Tips Fly fun fares. I like to fly southwest. Where are you going anyway. Others Orbitze.com Hotwire.com Expedia.com Priceline.com This week I learned of a new website to search for cheap airfares. It's called Mobissimo - an odd and unimpressive name I agree, but it came to my attention from watching the evening news. It is a San Francisco based business and they say that their search engine searches all the other search engines, like Travelocity and Orbitz, etc, to come up with the cheapest fare from all sources. I haven't tried it yet, but will do so when setting up my next trip. Try cheaptickets.com or orbitz.com...I've used both sites several times..and if you book say a hotel and flight you get a good discount... Also on priceline..if you don't mind standby..they will email you the lowest fare..no guarantees there tho and sometimes you don't know if its an OVERNIGHT layover...but I think you get really low fares with them... I use Travelocity alot. Set up "my farewatcher". You put in airports...where you would want to fly out of, and to where. Then you also put in the maximum amount you'd want to pay. When it goes below that amount, they will send you a farewatcher email. I've used it alot, and have gotten really good deals. I live closest to Northern KY/Greater Cincinnati airport and the rates can be horrible. Sometimes we will drive to another city (Louisville, Columbus, Indy, etc.) to get cheaper rates...I'm talking about $200 or so difference. Good Luck! www.southwest.com generally has the best fare. If you book in advance, you can't beat the Internet rate. |
