Travel Info I'm flying to Austin or San Antonio, Texas at the end of October and want to know what are some good hotels in those areas. Travel Tips Are you travelling with children? If so, the Embassy Suites on I10 is great, a good breakfast is included and drinks from 5-7. If you are going to Fiesta Six Flags, the La Cantara Resort is just next to it and beautiful. If you are staying in town, you have to stay at any of the hotels on Riverwalk! The Marriot is nice, with great views. and walking distance to lots of shops. In Austin,the hotel San Jose on S. Congress is the new chic, boutique hotel. Very modern with a good crowd and walking distance to great shops. Others Hotel dios de los muertos, or Hotel Pinche Gringo are nice There are a lot of nice hotels. What is your financial preference? I think the Marriot is usually a good deal and Hawthorne Suites near the seaworld or 6 flags area. Holiday Inn Crowne is downtown and very nice. That would be like middle ground. For more expensive the La Mansion del Rio is beautiful. and of course, La Cantera going out of town. Anywhere on the river in Austin. IF you go to Marble Falls, lots of stuff near the lake if you have that idea as an option. It is smack dab in the middle between Austin and San Antonio. |
