Travel Info Planning to relocate to San Antonio Tx can someone tell me where the nicest and more upscale neighborhoods are Travel Tips Stone Oak is the newest upscale neighborhood in the city. Alamo Heights is the oldest. Both are nice. I like Alamo Heights because it is more centrally located, and of course, there are more trees. Finally, it is more traditional whereas Stone Oak is more conservative. Both have good schools. Unfortunately, Stone Oak is growing so fast that if you move into the neighborhood, your kids might be bussed to a school further away from your area. My parents lived in Alamo Heights for 26 years before moving to their dream home in the Clark High School area in Huebner Oaks. Another very upscale area. I live in Burning Tree which is near McAllister Park. Pretty homes but a little more middle class. Lots of teachers like myself. I just love the park and the beautiful nature trails. It's 250+ acres of wildlife, soccer fields, bike and hike trails, baseball fields, picnic areas, etc. right in the middle of the city. Alamo Heights has Brackenridge Park, a little larger, with same beauties plus a golf course and a zoo and a river runs through it. It is very nice. http://www.ci.alamo-heights.tx.us/... leelee's answer is right on. Couldnt have said it better myself. |
