Need cheap place to go on vacation for a wk what places do you sugest? |
Travel Info I need a place where we can have fun and realx. only one wk to travel. what suggestions do you have fam of three. anywhere in the USA not only San Antonio Travel Tips Hot Springs, Arkansas. You and the hubby can have baths, massages, nice dinners. There are "duck tours" and family shows and lakes and camping. There's a race track. There's crystal digging - fun for the whole family to get dirty, find crystals and clean them up and see how shiny they are! Really lots to do and see without spending a lot of dough.Go to the beach. Beach vacations are always inexpensive and fun. Rockport is nice, North Padre because Corpus Christi is close by and you have the Aquarium. If you come to San Antonio, and you are taking little ones, get tickets online for SeaWorld and then go to the zoo and the park. Also, remember all Museums in San Antonio are free after 3pm on Tuesday. They are open until 9pm. And the Schlitterbahn Water park is 1/2 price after 3pm. Who needs more than 5 hours at a waterpark anyway? Go camping. There are thousands of parks nationwide. You can go to a national or state park, but I would pick a national park or forest. This year I went camping in Washington state for two weeks. This included making a couple day trips to Seattle and Vancouver, BC. I spent six hundred dollars total and had a great (cheap) time. For the price, you cannot beat camping. If you're in Texas check out Big Bend or the Guadalupe Mountains, both are great parks. But wait till October, it's just to damn hot in the summer. |
