I need places to stay in san antonio? |
Travel Info they got to be cheap but nice. The girl scouts are going to there and we plan on visiting SeaWorld San Antonio, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the River Walk, Zoo, mall, the alamo, and some museum. So what would be the best place to stay. Travel Tips You should check out my website for great deals on hotels and travel. http://ld.net/travel/?arhogs Others I assume you will have transportation because of the distance of the two theme parks from the downtown area. I'm also going to assume that you are not looking for high-end, resort hotels. With those assumptions, there are several downtown properties that are parts of the Marriott/Hilton/Holiday Inn chains that could work. In the downtown area you might check out the Radisson Market Square. In the Market Square and City Hall area there is a Holiday Inn, a La Quinta, and a Comfort Suites (that was an old jail...the girls might get a kick out of spending a night in a jail--its been completely renovated by the way.) Out on Loop 410 you'd have access to the two theme parks if you go in the Culebra Road to IH 10 areas. Most any of the properties in that stretch are a 15 minute ride to downtown (except at rush hour, which by normal standards usually doesn't last all that long.) You'll find all of the chains--look for one that says Northwest side of town. Anything near the airport or along IH-35 won't be too convenient to the sites you've listed (which are pretty much downtown or on the northwest side of town.) This is a beautiful city but who wants to spend the time driving back and forth? Hope that helps. BW SeaWorld SA and Six Flags are located in the Northside district, between 1604 and 410, south of 151, north of 10-410. The Alamo, The River Walk, and the Zoo are located around downtown, inside 10-35-37-281. There are two malls I recommend: Ingram Park, in Northside, across from Holmes High (and the Business Careers Magnet High School), outside 410, and River Center, downtown. Well, try somewhere that is within a fifteen-mile radius from these place. Oh, and those two malls I recommended have DDR machines, so they could have something to do. |
