Can you recommend a good hotel on the San Antonio riverwalk? |
Travel Info this is a special romantic trip with my man when he comes home for R&R i want a good place right on the riverwalk like 150 bucks a night. i'm considering hawthorn suites, i just have a hard time spending so much money without actually seeing the place. so anyone who has stayed in some nice hotels in san antonio, let me know. Travel Tips THe Hyatt Riverwalk is the best hotel that I have stayed in downtown. It's the whole ambiance of the hotel that is so great. It even has a fountain with water going from right across the alamo, through the lobby and into the river. It has a restaurant, bar and even a jazz bar in the lower level along the river. The location is the best.. right near the Hard Rock and all that stuff. I highly recommend the Hyatt. Another good hotel is the Marriott. They have down comforters on the beds so it's really comfortable. One is at Rivercenter and one is across the street. Both don't have as good a location on the riverwalk as the Hyatt, but they're both good hotels. The Marriott is good if you want to go to a mall. Source(s): I grew up in and around San Antonio and have stayed at a few hotels downtown. Other Travel Tips Motel 8 THEY HAVE BUNK BEDS...HAHAHA lol I don't know http://www.sanantoniolodging.com/rooms.h... http://www.hotelvalencia.com/san-antonio... http://cpriverwalkhotel.reachlocal.net/... Try these!! ^ the second one looks nice, but expensive. It is near impossible to find a place for only 150. Hawthorne Suites is ok,. but I would def. prefer the Hyatt. It is a more expensive, but worth it. They have wonderful views of the Alamo. http://sanantonioregency.hyatt.com/hyatt... Another good website to look at is : http://thesanantonioriverwalk.com/wheret... Hi, San Antonio Riverwalk hotels are expensive, no doubt. But the Drury Inn on the river is in your price range and is very nice. There is also a Holiday Inn next to the Hotel Valencia that is decent. If you want something really special and can spend more I would recommend the following hotels: Hotel Valencia- very chic and sexy. Its quite new. The area of the river that its on is quiet, so you arent disturbed by late night partiers. La Mansion del Rio- an historic hotel that is very nice. It has a huge amoun of character and great views of the river. Very colonial spanish feel The Westin Riverwalk- this a very high quality traditional hotel. The beds are incredible, as are the bathrooms. I am a corporate travel agent. I routinely tour hotels and have visited all of these. |
