Travel Info i'm planning valentines for my wife!! Travel Tips A very romantic spot in San Antonio is the Japanese Sunken Gardens (Tea gardens) by the zoo. Admission is free. It is a very pretty place with flowers and koi fish. However, last time I was there, in late October, it was being refurbished. They took out all the water and fish and were in the process of remodeling it (or something to that effect). You may want to go by and see if its still that way or if its back to its original splendor. The Grist Mill restaurant is next to the Guadalupe River the views at sunset are outstanding. Good luck! Others yea you can go to huntsville and take her to the jail museum!!! I raised my family in Texas and I cannot for the life of me think of one single thing about Texas that could even with great and inspired imagination be construed as "romantic". Might I suggest a quick flight to a nice Mexican eastern coast resort? Try the dowtown If you are asking about Texas in general, take her to a beach hotel in Port Aransas. The Spring Break crowd is not there yet, so it can be quite romantic. Corpus Christi is cool, too, but you'll have a better chance at privacy on the beach in Port A. I live in San Antonio, and love taking that short trip to the beach. BUT-- don't ask me how cold it will be. Our weather has been acting pretty weird lately. Hope y'all have a great time where ever you go |
