Can anybody recommend some things for us to do with small children while we are vacationing in San Antonio TX. |
Travel Info We will be down there for a week and I have 3 children ages 4,2,1 so what are some things that we will be able to do for fun while we are down there. We are going down there so that we can find a nice place to live my husband is getting transfered so we are wondering what type of things there are that I can do with the children while we are there for the week. Looking for any info/advice, Thanks in advance. Travel Tips The River Walk has the boat cruise, little ones love this and walking around down there. The Children's Museum is very "hands-on" and the kids tend to like it. If your husband is Army, go to the Quadrangle at Fort Sam, take some grain from a pet store with you and you can all feed the deer from your hands. Really neat experience for the kids. North Star Mall has a Build-A-Bear that is fun for the kids, depending on your buget. The San Antonio Zoo is a really nice place as well, with a park across the street. There is also a water park called Schlitterbahn, outside of San Antonio that opens up in April. San Antonio is not the best place to live...quite of bit of crime, Especially on the south side..Northern side is best.You can take them to the river walk and ride the gondola..Go to sea world, which is on the smaller scale compared to sandiego..Fiesta texas which has alot of rides..Tubing on the river which doesnt open till may..Thats in New braunfels which is 40 min from san antonio...The schillterbaun in New Braunfels.. Children's Museum downtown, Witte Museum (HEB Treehouse), Tower of America lobby 4-D presentation, S.A. Zoo. Every city and all parts of San Antonio are potentially dangerous...but use common sense and stick to tourist areas...there are always police officers or security...S.A. is really a friendly town you will enjoy it. well seaworld is the best place to go to cause its very educational with the kids and its very fun |
