San antonio subdivision? |
Travel Info can anyone tell me about camelot subdivision in northeast san antonio. is it a safe area. thanks Travel Tips Are you looking to live in a particular area like Judson? If so, look around Woodlake. Camelot is actually considered the "hood" by alot of the local teens. Not a good sign, huh? A new school in that area is I10 and Foster road called Wagner HS. The homes are much nicer also, but stay away from Sunrise. Also not a good area. Less expensive and still somewhat nice are El Sendero which would be the MacArthur. If you can get into MacArthur area homes, Madison area homes, most Judson area homes and Schertz area homes on the NE, these are nicer areas and still somewhat reasonable. Many people like Live Oak and Schertz because you don't have to deal with SA city taxes. Yes, but you get less priviledges also, so ... you get what you pay for. Others Its not as safe as it used to be. The area that the camelot subdivision is located in is going down hill. If you are looking foe a good area to move into, try out on Oconner road or atlest in that general area. i havent been there in a while... but it used to be really nice...i dont know how it is now... i moved away 10 years ago.. Let's just say I won't move my family there. If you are looking to stay in that general vacinity, go North of IH35. Not to knock anyone, but south of IH35 in the NE area has gone a little downhill over the years. It's a product of people moving further from the city. There are plenty of great areas in the NE side of SA in just about every price range. Anoth area to look is the older area of Schertz near Randolf AFB. live in the area no Yeah, the subdivision there is WAAAAAAAY overpriced. It's definitely a neighborhood in decline. It might not be a ghetto but it's also not a place for those who could afford better. It's basically a inner ring suburb that has badly suffered from continuing flight outward from the city. |
