What are the suburbs of San Antonio, TX with the lowest crime rates and best school system? |
Travel Info Also with affordable housing? Any help you can provide will be appreciated? My family and I are planning to relocate to Texas and we're really liking what our research is showing us in regards to San Antonio. What advice would you give to a potential SA transplant? Travel Tips Alamo Heights/ Lincoln Heights/ Oak Park [78209] area is definitely low crime and great education, but housing can be costly. The people are friendly, you've great little shopping areas and restaurants all in a close range. Some major points of interests in the area would be: the Quarry Market (Shopping Centre), Central Market H-E-B (Nice, upscale, grocery store), and other places. I would consider that area as well as areas around LP1604 including the area around Bandera, around I-10 and around US281. I'm not quite sure of Universal City (the area of 1604 around I-35N), but I believe Schertz, which is a city about 20-30 mi (15-25 min) from the centre of the city, just right outside is nice as well. Word of advice, try to avoid living in the inner-northern, Southern, Western, and Eastern sides of the city, just watch the news on http://woai.com and you'll understand why. Also, pretty much anywhere where there is low crime and good education, there is always high property value, thus the housing will be higher. Others Boerne is a great community... t I'm moving to Texas too. San Antonio is getting big a lot of jobs are there. For example Dell,Microsoft,Coca Cola,Toyota & over 165 plants for Toyota are opening around San Antonio. They think around 280 differnt plant will open.I like Adkins Texas it like living in the country quit and alot of land. But close to downtown 15mins. New school are opening all over too crime rate i hear mostly in southeast side of San Antonio Bluffview area up off 281... excellent schools, low crime, but you won't find affordable housing (unless you live in NYC). If you want affordable housing and low crime you'll have to move into some far outlying northern suburb. Someone cited Boerne. That might be a bit far, but I'd live there (if I could find a job there). |
