I10 runs from Houston to SA, oh, by train. Take the Amtrak!!! The station in SA is downtown by the Sunset Station. Tickets (round trip) are like $50. You could also check on Craigslist.com, and see if there is anyone driving down when you want to go, and offer to pay for half of gas if they'll drive you. It's only a 3 hour trip.
