Is it true that there is gonna be a Disneyland in San Antonio. Texas? |
Travel Info Is it true that there is gonna be a Disneyland in San Antonio. Texas? Travel Tips My understanding is a holding co. bought the 800 or so acre ranch located at 211 and hwy 90 and the holding company bought it for Disney. There is a 1000 unit time share, a water park, and a shopping area with a 300 room hotel planned for the other side of 211 some of it part of Briggs and the golf club of Texas. They have already started on the time share and have been selling the time shares for a while. I happened to run across Briggs Ranch and the description of the property did mention time shares that would include a water park feature that was to be built also. Here's the description from the site: Briggs Ranch Grand Vacation Club 鈥?BGV ------------------------------... Briggs Ranch is ideally situated in the hill country, just 18 miles from downtown San Antonio. It is adjacent to the renowned Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch, a par-72, Lee Trevino signature course. The resort will feature a two-acre water park with a large swimming pool, 700-foot lazy river, interactive tree house, waterslides, waterfalls, outdoor hot water spas, and a swim-up poolside restaurant/bar. An administration building, owners lounge, adult and children's game rooms, pro shop, and an indoor-outdoor cafe will be on-site. This doesn't sound like Disney World to me. What it sounds like is the new direction that Disney is headed in which is selling time shares for the vacation of your dreams. They just opened a new store front in Chicago to sell time shares under the Disney name. So, don't get real excited that Disney is coming to Texas! Others Don't know where you heard that. I keep on top of most things Disney, and I haven't heard anything about that. We heard the same thing, but not San Antonio. Our info was that they are looking at the south side of Canyon Lake, TX which is just north of SA. That would be the coolest thing. And it's a good idea becasue there's one on the west and east coasts... there should be one smack in the middle as well! Where did you hear this? I live in texas and we haven't been to Disney world because it's too far! lol, thanks ME Ummm...I don't think so I'll look it up. I promise to get back to you! 鈾? |
