I am taking my brother on a graduation trip to South Texas; we're going to stop in New Braunfels for Schlitterbahn; we are driving in from Amarillo; are there any "nice/fancy" hotels in the area for a splurge? Pools, room service, drinks, that kind of thing?

Schlitterbahn has a resort. Honestly I can't think of any nice or fancy hotels actually in New Braunfels. Your best bet would be to stay somewhere in San Antonio which is 30-45 minuets away. If you decide to stay in San Antonio Omni La Mansion Del Rio is wonderful and located on the riverwalk. |
