Family friendly hotel in San Antonio? |
Travel Info Any advice on a family-friendly hotel in SAT. I have two kids, both pre-teens. I am looking for a place that is safe, spacious, close to city attractions, possibly on the river, with affordable rates (appx. $150 per night). I am not looking for a motel-style property. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Travel Tips You might check out the Hampton Inn and Suites Riverwalk. I think the room rates are around $170 a night. Good luck! P.S. Hampton Inn and Suites are owned by Hilton Hotels. If you can't find anything IN San Antonio (assuming you're going to be there during Cinco De Mayo) you might look at the Hampton Inn and Suites in San Marcos. New Braunfels is about 15-20 minutes from San Antonio and San Marcos is about 30 minutes away. Both San Marcos and New Braunfels have really really nice outlet malls. Both towns are nice and safe and are on I-35, which is a major artery through San Antonio. Others Marriot? Greak breakfasts. Although I am not sure it is under 150 a night, but you can check. I think one of the Marriots is on the river. I've been to San Antonio I would choose the Marriot near the riverwalk and the mall both. But, good luck during Fiesta. Almost everything is booked solid. You'd be better off finding something closer to the 1604/281 area and taking the bus from Blossom Stadium down to Fiesta. |
